Interesting history. Pick up flyers at the office before walking the grounds, so you can try to spot all of the interesting relics.

If you're biking and go along the river, the 3rd leg gives you the option for paved or not. The paved route is extremely narrow, hilly, and sloped. Afterward the trail gets rocky for a few sections.
