No permit needed... its first come, first serve. The Eucalyptus trees smell heavenly. Bring your jacket... its over 4,000' elevation.

Awesome camping and no permit needed!! It's 4,000ft elev. So bring your jacket n rain gear but it's magical!! Great hiking!

Best place to stop on the journey to Hilo.. Stretch your legs, bathrooms, also a great place to bring the family for a picnic or camping. Hiking trails everywhere..
