OMG! Beer £2 . Pub clearly not moved on since 1950! No electric, gas lights, a traditional drinking mans pub, we need more of these places, untouched by technology!

Sam Smith’s pub in a small 18th Century terrace with a sign that’s so subtle you could easily miss it. Entering is like stepping back in time to a shady multi room drinking den with real fires.

The only real ale is the Sovereign Bitter but there double extra stout is amazing.

Amazing unspoilt ancient pub. Wonderful farmhouse appearance with old fashioned domestic items. A must visit when in Beverley. Great real ale from Samuel Smiths brewery.
