Das Haus wurde von Hans Hollein geplant und müsste eigentlich "Hollein-Haus" heißen. Haas-Haus erinnert noch an das Teppichhaus "Haas & Söhne" das ursprünglich hier stand

Eigentlich schon das dritte Haas-Haus. Das erste wurde im WW2 zerstört und der Nachbau "passte nicht zum Stadtbild" weshalb er 1985 durch da heutige Haas-Haus ersetzt.
