It's ok to spend some time waiting for your train. There are some good choices for food or coffee. The public WC is in bad condition, so you'd better ask for the code of the WC next to the shops.

It's been renovated and I think, it is much better. There's also a low-cost travel bus company Union-Ivkoni office with connections to all over Europe.

I can assure it has become a lot better than it used to be. It really looks like it's out of a 70's movie, but it is fine. Not great, but bearable.

No announcement. Exactly at 5:13 as the ticket says the doors were closed and my train departured. Will be in Athens in 5 hours 20min. Bye-bye Thessaloniki. Thank you for the unforgettable time!

Πρόσφατα ανακαινίσθηκε και καθαρίστηκε (αλήθεια λέμε). Αν ήρθες καλωσόρισες, αν φεύγεις καλό σου ταξίδι. Προσοχή στα προσωπικά σου αντικείμενα, εφοδιάσου έξυπνα πριν ανέβεις στο τρένο.

Prefer the toilets near Goody's at the left wing of the station. Typically they're for their customers but the passengers use it too.
