It seems that the court is exceptionally busy at 9 AM and 1:30 PM. This backs the security line up severely. I would allow an extra 20 minutes, on top of parking time, to get in and through security.

There is a WiFi network in the Jury room (basement). I had to ask the attendant for the passcode, which she happily provided. The speed was excellent and service was reliable.

If possible, arrange to be dropped off at the courthouse. This is a rough, depressed urban area. Parking hard to find and is 5-10 min walk from courthouse. Women should be accompanied and not alone.

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to find the parking area. I used the garage on El Dorado St. When exiting the garage, I found the "Freeway/Center Street" exit very slow when garage is busy.

Get there at 8am for afternoon walk in court. Go eat lunch by the movies and be back to the courthouse by 1pm. If you are late, they won't let u in. Give yourself time to go thru security.

Cafe on basement level. Go to Kabob and Gyro house Channel street (2 blocks away). Starbucks is 2 blocks on El Dorado. Farmers market is on Wed. Don't forget to validate parking if you are Jury duty.
