When you get an appointment letter, keep it safe and bring it with you. The long queues are caused by all the numpties who forgot their letters.

When you arrive, use the toilets. Don't check in to your clinic then go to the toilet so you're not there when they call your name. Don't listen to music or get so engrossed in a book you don't hear.

A&E system involves nurses shouting names from a long way away. Very hard to hear. No indicator board with names or numbers.
